ACC

The American College of Cardiology is a 49,000-member medical society that is the professional home for the entire cardiovascular care team. The mission of the College is to transform cardiovascular care and to improve heart health. The ACC leads in the formation of health policy, standards, and guidelines. The College operates national registries to measure and improve care, provides professional medical education, disseminates cardiovascular research and bestows credentials upon cardiovascular specialists who meet stringent qualifications.

AJRR

The American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR) is a multi-stakeholder, independent organization for data collection and quality improvement initiatives for total hip and knee replacements. AJRR’s goal is to optimize patient outcomes through collection of data on all primary and revision total joint replacement procedures in the U.S. The mission of the Registry is to enhance patient safety, improve quality of care, and reduce the cost of care. As of August 2016, the AJRR contains hip and knee procedures from over 790 hospitals and almost 5,500 surgeons in 50 states and the District of Columbia. The Registry is increasing at a rate of 4,000 procedures per week. Today, the Registry contains more than 500,000 procedures.

AHA

The American Heart Association is devoted to saving people from heart disease and stroke – the two leading causes of death in the world. They team with millions of volunteers to fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies, and provide lifesaving tools and information to prevent and treat these diseases. The Dallas-based association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke.
